תקציר יצירה

"The Infected City" is a panoramic view of the corona crisis, modeled loosely on T.S. Eliot's The Waste Land. It was written in response to a movie which credibly argued that the virus was deliberately created and released by a technological elite determined to control or eliminate the rest of humanity. The poem contemplates the forces that could have led to the creation of such an elite, and asks what kind of response is possible for those who still believe in the dignity of human life.
